# Google Search Volume

> monthly searches, trend and competition from Google Ads

Google Search Volume takes the keywords of your website and finds out how often people really search for them: the average number of searches per month, the curve over the last 12 months and how much advertisers compete for the phrase. The data comes from Google Ads Keyword Planner for the chosen market and language.

**Price:** 1 credits (https://be1st.ai/en/pricing)

## What you get

1. **Monthly search volume**: Average searches per month for every keyword on the selected market (for example Slovakia) and in its language.
2. **12-month trend**: Month-by-month curve. You see whether a keyword is growing, declining or seasonal, and which ones grow fastest.
3. **Competition**: Low, medium or high depending on how many advertisers bid on the keyword. A hint of how hard it will be to rank.

## How it works

1. **Keywords of the site**: Taken from the list next to the site in the dashboard: words from AI SEO Content and the ones you added by hand. If the site has none yet, AI SEO Content runs first.
2. **Our database first**: Keywords we have already measured come from our database without another call to Google. That is why the tool costs 1 credit.
3. **Google Ads for the rest**: Missing keywords are asked from Google Ads Keyword Planner for the given market and language. The result is stored and is available instantly next time.

## What it is good for

- **Per market**: Search volume is never summed across countries: the number for Slovakia is the number for Slovakia.
- **Trend, not just a number**: Twelve months of history reveal seasonality and the keywords that are growing right now.
- **Cheap and fast**: Database first, Google second. One credit per run.
- **Tracked over time**: A scheduled run extends the history and the dashboard shows the trending keywords of your site.

> **It needs keywords.** Without a keyword list there is nothing to measure, so on a site without keywords AI SEO Content (2 credits) is added automatically.

**Where to find the results:** Dashboard, site detail, Keywords tab, Search Volume (Google) view.
